From Above 3D is a 3D flight simulator that runs in a web browser, provided for entertainment. It uses Google Maps Platform (Photorealistic 3D Tiles) for the 3D imagery, and Nominatim (OpenStreetMap reverse geocoding) to show the name of the place you are flying over.
The Service does not ask you to create an account, and does not collect or store personal information about you. It does not use tracking cookies.
When you use the Service, your browser talks directly to Google and to OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) to fetch map and place data. In doing so, those third parties may process your IP address and similar connection information. Their handling of it is governed by their own privacy policies:
The Service is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes request information (including your IP address and approximate country) in order to serve the site and to show you the price in your local currency.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Card numbers and other payment details are handled by Stripe directly; they do not pass through, and are not stored on, our servers. Stripe’s handling of the information it collects is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
If you buy Premium, we store an access credential in your browser (localStorage) so the Service knows your access is active. It is used only for that, and is not used to identify or track you.
If you use the “Already paid but not unlocked?” restore option, the email address you enter is sent to our server once, used to look up your payment with Stripe, and is not stored by us.
Copyright in the maps and 3D imagery belongs to Google, its data providers, and the respective rights holders. The attribution shown on screen (the Google logo and similar) is required by licence and cannot be removed or altered.
Place names come from OpenStreetMap data. © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL licence).
For any question about privacy — including a request to access or correct information relating to you, or to make a complaint — email justaboutduet@gmail.com. We aim to reply within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act, the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, the Australian Privacy Act 1988, or the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. Those rights apply regardless of anything in this policy.
The Service is provided for entertainment and as a technical demonstration. It is not suitable for navigation, or for any purpose that depends on positions, terrain or imagery being accurate or current. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that the map data is accurate, complete or available.
Nothing here excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, warranty, right or remedy that the law gives you and that cannot lawfully be excluded — see section 8 of the Terms of Service.
Copyright in the Service’s source code, images, design, the name “From Above 3D”, its logo, colour scheme, interface layout and other original expression belongs to the operator. You may not copy, republish, modify, redistribute or commercially exploit the Service in whole or in part without prior permission, nor build or publish a similar service likely to be confused with it.
The Service contains unique identifiers (canary strings) in several places so that unauthorised copies can be detected. Where a copy is found, we will ask the operator, their host and search engines to take it down, and will take further action where warranted.
Rights in the map data (Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles) and place data (OpenStreetMap / Nominatim) are covered in section 3 above.
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
